💡 What is a Phulka?

Phulka is a variety of chapati prepared with the same core ingredients and minimal oil.
Cooked like a bhakri, roasted on the outside and puffed to steam from within. This makes them light on the gut and nutritionally wholesome.

🔥 Myth about Carbon

Some people assume that because a phulka briefly touches the flame while puffing, it becomes high in carbon or carcinogenic.

📌 This is a misconception.
Our phulkas are not burnt or charred. They simply touch the flame for a few seconds to puff and cook evenly from the inside.

The flame used for puffing is a clean, fully combusting LPG flame, which burns efficiently and produces very minimal by-products. Because the cooking surfaces and equipment are cleaned regularly, there is no carbon residue involved in the process.

🌿 According to Ayurveda, controlled exposure to fire during cooking is beneficial. This process is known as Agnisanskar, which makes food lighter on the gut and easier to digest and absorb.
